We created four fully AI-generated commercials for Auchan’s E-commerce campaign.
The campaign focuses on online ordering, home delivery and Coolbox pickup, with the fourth film bringing these themes together.
The cute bird character featured in the campaign is Auchan’s new AI-powered character, which has become part of the brand’s communication in recent months. The creative agency once again brought us a challenging brief: a wide range of unique concepts and precise visual requirements had to be brought to life using AI before we arrived at the final scenes.
One of the scenes in the Coolbox film also required dedicated VFX work. We enhanced the moment when the refrigerated box is opened to make its cold, frosty interior feel genuinely icy.
It was an exciting and fairly complex challenge, but in the end we managed to bring all of the campaign’s unique visual ideas to life.
Auchan – LEGO Campaign
For Auchan’s LEGO campaign, we worked on a commercial promoting discounted LEGO sets, bringing the story to life with stop-motion LEGO figures, buildings and constructions.
We received the finished stop-motion footage and were responsible for retouching, lighting and compositing the footage, as well as creating and integrating the AI-generated bird character into the film.
The creative team provided us with a storyboard and script, but several elements of the film evolved during production. One of these was the bird character: in the original version, the bird was more active throughout the scenes, using its wings more and even flying from the truck onto the final product packshot. The client ultimately chose a different version for the final campaign.
One of the more interesting challenges was integrating a fully AI-generated character into the handcrafted stop-motion world, making sure it felt like a natural part of the film.
