King C. Gillette – Product Label Replacement
For a commercial produced for King C. Gillette, we replaced all product labels appearing in the footage with the updated packaging.
We tracked the different bottle shapes and surfaces throughout the shots, then integrated the new labels to match the products’ movement, lighting and surface characteristics. The packshot required particularly precise compositing to ensure that both the products and the new labels looked natural and consistent with the original footage.

Gillette – Men’s Shaving Product Communication Revamp
For Gillette, we replaced the original products in seven master commercials with new Gillette products, which were then adapted into a total of 20 final film variations.
Where possible, we handled the replacements in 2D. In most shots, however, the work required 3D camera tracking and newly built 3D product models. We recreated the products’ lighting and textures and integrated them into the existing footage to match the original lighting conditions, materials and camera movements.
The project came without many of the usual VFX source materials: there were no lighting references, HDR maps or unfolded product textures available. We therefore had to build the models and textures largely from print materials.
The seven products also varied significantly in their materials – from metal to different types of plastic – requiring individual approaches to reflections, highlights and surface properties.
Another important requirement was to keep the products’ colours as close as possible to the original references. This meant finding the right balance between making the products look naturally integrated into the scene while maintaining accurate product colours.
We started with the seven master films, and once these were approved, created the additional variations based on them.
