The Hungarian Parliament Museum Interactive Program – Create a Constitution!
We are excited to share our latest work, created for the Hungarian Parliament Museum, specifically for students. The “Create a Constitution!” program aims to give young people an insight into the process of constitution-making while they create a constitution for a fictional country and learn the basics of democratic decision-making.
Throughout the program, students will encounter important topics such as determining the form of government, holidays, and basic rules, while an interactive short film about their little island country’s history helps guide them in the collaborative process. The film plays a key role in the session as it helps deepen the topic for the students and provides inspiration for their group work.
The design and production of the film’s visual world were done by Pixiebug Animation Studio (We brainstormed, wrote the script, and directed the animated film. We also contributed to designing, drawing, and animating the backgrounds and characters.). The concept was to create a paper cutout animation style, which not only reflects this in the visuals but also in the movement. The film was created in collaboration with our colleagues Noémi Barkóczi and Ádám Verhóczki.
The program is available exclusively at the Hungarian Parliament Museum, where students can experience this interactive activity in person. However, the film is not only part of the program; visitors can also view still images of it at the museum.
This project was not just a creative challenge for us, but also an opportunity to help the next generation understand the importance of constitution-making, democratic principles, and community decision-making in a fun, interactive way.
As requested by the client, we can only publish still images from the completed film.
